Now in its 24 year, the San Francisco Foundation supports development programs for underserved youth that keep them “Safe, On Track, and In School.” Since 1992, the Foundation has donated $30.6 million to support non-profits, contributing $4.6 million in 2014, including a $1 million grant to launch the 49ers STEM Leadership Institute at Cabrillo Middle School.Image & Syle Magazine

The San Francisco 49ers Academy – an initiative of the Foundation which was launched in 1996 – serves middle school students and provides a small, caring and safe community, both during the school day and in after school programs. They bridge the opportunity gap by creating transformational learning opportunities that empower youth to realize their full potential. By providing their students with the resources, relationships and services they need, they are changing lives, one student at a time.
