Art Hearts Fashion Week 2015 Presented by AIDS Healthcare Foundation
Art Hearts Fashion is in full swing dominating NYFW with their second day of shows wrapping up last night at the Refectory at the High Line Hotel. With NYFW events taking place throughout the city, Art Hearts Fashion is one event that continues to showcase the strongest designers of the season. After opening day at Grand Central Station, Art Hearts Fashion showcased 4 designers at the High Line Hotel on Tuesday, September 15th. The show opened with Joules, whose bright floral raincoats and bold colors delighted guests with the brands signature British charm. Brendan M. Combs’ impeccable collection of posh meets rock and roll stole the show with umbrella skirts and tailored trousers. Metal details and strong lines laid the foundation allowing the Combs to experiment with masculine and feminine themes. House of LiJon took center stage with the latest collection of handmade chainmail pieces. Mixing the ancient art of chainmail with modern glamour, House of LiJon perfectly demonstrated the versatility of the medium, creating the visual experience of an array of materials. Sandhya Garg closed the 7PM show with an invigorating and thematic collection. A color palette of dark blue, red, orange, and yellow, paraded down the runway showcasing printed patterns and a telling fluid narrative.
Singer/songwriter Kelly Saint Patrick entertained guests throughout the night with acoustic performances.
