Babyface Gets A Star

Ten time Grammy Award winner and record label founder Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds humbly accepted his star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame this October. Close associates and friends Usher, P. Diddy, L.A. Reid, Toni Braxton and Stevie Wonder were on hand for the presentation.

In his career as a solo artist, Kenneth has preferred the ballad form where the melody is prominent and the vocalist stresses the feeling behind the words. As a songwriter he has penned more than 100 top R&B and pop singles (with 26 hitting No. 1) during his career.

He co-founded LaFace Records with L.A. Reid and has worked with TLC, Usher, Fall Out Boy, Lil Wayne and Ariana Grande to name a few. His most recent record label founded in 2009 is Soda Pop Records.

Always busy either in front of the microphone or behind the scenes, he has a new duets album with Toni Braxton due out November 25th and will be a special guest vocalist with Braxton in the new Broadway Musical After Midnight in March 2014.
