FCB Studio App Launch
(July 22, 2015) – Futbol Club Barcelona (FCB) and their technology partner, Tawasol, announced the release of a Social Media App named FCB Studio targeted to FCB fans. With it, the club seeks to increase the interactions between FCB fans and the club’s assets (players, brands and related products). In recognition of their international fan base, multi-lingual support is built right in.
FC Barcelona’s Chief Commercial Officer, Laurent Colette, and Tawasol’s Chief Commercial Officer, Sally Ossman, gave a brief presentation of the App’s features and spoke about FCB’s initiative aimed at more deeply connecting with their huge fan base via social media using the latest fan engagement technology. The App is free to use. Both iOS and Android platforms are supported.
The App is fully customizable by FCB fans and has several fun fan-friendly features which enable fans to capture, edit, and share their photos alongside their favorite player/players, with their friends and with fans worldwide via several Social Media platforms. Additionally, rewarding prizes are on offer for those who use the App.
LEVI’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California hosted the launch event…and on Saturday the 25th will see two of the world’s top soccer franchises face off as Spain’s FC Barcelona and England’s Manchester United play an exhibition game.
