Goodbye Jay Leno Hello Fallon
The Tonight Show is a dynasty. It is larger than any of its hosts. It is the network’s closer – a show with the ability to keep the public engaged and on channel for a full evening’s-worth of programming.
For more than twenty years, it has been preserved and enhanced by the talent of Jay Leno. His quick wit and easy conversational style have played counterpoint to an expansive range of guests and topics. He has been our everyman, at times our comedic foil and, as time has passed, he has become our late-night friend. We accept his departure with the comfort that the prestige (and treasure) he gained in this aspect of his career may now give him comfort and enjoyment for the rest of his life.
