The organization “Children with Cancer UK” and 80″s pop singer, now celebrity chef, Paul Young. Joined forces in a month long campaign.

The campaign’s goal is to encourage the nation to hold bake sales across the country in this year’s Bake Club Month of May.  Bake Club Month of May encourages people across the UK to get together and hold fundraising events throughout the Paul create a special cupcake recipe in an effort to get more people involved in this life changing cause.

Ben Twyman from Children with Cancer UK says; “Bake Club is a brilliant way to have fun and raise funds to help children with cancer. We are delighted to have Paul Young on board and put his cooking expertise to the test by creating a special cupcake recipe you can use for your own Bake Club.” Around 3,600 youngsters, including children and babies, are diagnosed with cancer every year in the UK. Sadly, around 280 children and 300 teenagers and young adults lose their lives to the disease. In fact, cancer is the most common cause of death in children aged 1 to 14 years in the UK, accounting for around one fifth of deaths in this age group.

Children with Cancer UK funds life-saving research into the causes, prevention and treatment of childhood cancer and works to protect young lives through essential welfare and campaigning programmes including supporting hospices and children’s hospitals.. Bake it and show it After reaching the semi-finals of Celebrity Masterchef and Hell’s Kitchen, singer Paul Young turned his passion for cooking into a career and became chef at a restaurant in London. Paul says: “I love to bake, but making cakes is even more satisfying if it’s for a good cause.

I have created a special red velvet cupcake recipe for budding bakers to make and enjoy, while also raising money to help save these youngsters.

Children with Cancer UK are calling on schools, offices and homes up and down the country to Bake and Show all their creative and tasty efforts by using the hashtag #bakeitshowit and posting their pictures on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
