Happy Birthday Makenzie Vega

At a young age, Makenzie Vega already has an impressive resume of feature film credits to her name. She appeared in “The Family Man,” “Made,” “Saw,” “Sin City,” “Just My Luck” and “X-Men: The Last Stand.” On television, she appeared in “The Geena Davis Show” on CBS.

Vega was born into a large family of five siblings in Los Angeles to an American mother and a Colombian father. She is the younger sister of actress Alexa Vega. Currently, Vega lives in New York with her mother and three younger siblings. Vega was named a Presidential Honors Scholar at NYU, where she is majoring in neuroscience.

Recognizing the importance of early education and the development of reading skills she also serves as a spokesperson for Jumpstart – a nationally recognized charitable organization serving the educational needs of inner city children.

When she is not on set, Vega focuses on her education and spends most of her time with her family and playing soccer. A native of the West Coast, Vega travels back and forth between Los Angeles and New York between her rigorous academic courses and filming schedule. Her birth date is Feb. 10.
