Wimbledon 2015 is yet another jewel in the crown of the world’s greatest female singles tennis player. With two more Grand Slam titles she will pass Steffi Graf in wins…with four, she will top Margaret Court to become the new record-holder.

She is 33 years old (her birthday is in September) – which also will become part of that record. Both Graf and Court retired when they were 30/31. If anyone cares for our opinion on why Ms. Williams continues to dominate in her sport, we offer one reason for your consideration: The advancements in athlete’s strength training and physical conditioning. Just as with every other professional sport, the science behind building a body for peak performance in a particular sport has advanced to the point where careers are being extended. For how long? This is the question.
