The beautiful Mountain Gate County Club in Los Angeles, CA once again hosted this year’s Alex Thomas Golf Classic to benefit pediatric cancer patients and the Ronald McDonald House of Long Beach, CA.
Celebrities, entertainer and athletes came together for a day of golf, fun and a good cause. Attendees included: Matt Barnes (Clippers), Shad Gaspard, Terrell Pryor (Seahawks), Jim Brown, Jon Lovitz, Byron Chamberlain (Denver Broncos), Chris Spencer, Dannon Gree, Jane Yamamoto, James Worthy, Red Grant and Kathleen Bradley.
The Tournament Sponsors included: PingTank, Global Vodka, Adidas, Mercedes of Beverly Hills, Lotus VAPing Technologies, Louis Stewart Collections, the LA Lakers and JC Party Rentals.
The pre-tournament pool party – held this year at a very special, secret location – was even more fantastic than last year. The private residence was in the foothills above Studio City and boasted a panoramic view of the city as well as an edgeless pool. Co-hosts Alex Thomas and Ed Reed along with several DJ’s made sure guests had a great time at the five hour party. Complimentary transportation to and from the venue was provided.
The Alex Thomas Foundation is a childhood cancer foundation dedicated to enhancing the lives of pediatric cancer patients and their families. They provide help, hope, care and support to children and their families touched by pediatric cancer. They also fund patient and family support services, cutting-edge cancer research and programs and services that help children and their families cope with the many physical, emotional and financial challenges associated with this disease. Proceeds went to the Ronald McDonald house.
All of the programs they fund directly benefit children and adolescents diagnosed with cancer, the families who support them and the medical community who compassionately cares for them.
None of the events would be possible without the many sponsors and volunteers. Special recognition goes to the foundation’s President Jeffery Taylor and Vice President Brasie Patterson who tirelessly all year round to make everything happen.
