The bad weather conditions did not stop a determine Bourdais. He led in the Chevrolet Dual in Detroit Presented by Quicken Loans Race 2. He led over Takuma Sato in the final three laps of Race 2 making this his 33rd career Indy car wins. The race win made Bourdais the seventh different winner in eight Verizon IndyCar Series races this season.
