Patrick Willis ProCamp

The Citi Patrick Willis Football ProCamp took place on June 11, 2014 at Santa Clara High School in Santa Clara, CA. Participants at the three and one half hour event had the opportunity to interact with and learn from one of the top linebackers in the NFL.

The hundreds of campers were first apportioned by age into smaller groups to ensure that each would receive maximum instruction time. Each group was then directed through various skill stations which emphasized proper football fundamentals. Patrick moved from group to group offering advice and encouraging those who were struggling.

All participants received a limited edition Patrick Willis Football ProCamp T-Shirt, appeared in a team photo with Patrick and received his autograph. Camp contest winners received additional prizes.

Patrick Willis ended the camp with a brief speech. He asked them not to glorify him because he is a professional athlete. Instead, he asked that they reflect on Patrick the person, the community leader and the kid who overcame a lot of hardship to achieve his dream of becoming a professional athlete.

Once again Citibank and the ProCamps Organization did a great job organizing and executing the event. Despite the large number of attendees, everything ran perfectly. Thanks also go out to all of the volunteers and the generous sponsors.

Major sponsors included Citibank, Welch’s Fruit Snacks and Taco Bell’s Foundation for Teens. A complete list of sponsors and additional information is available at http://www.procamps.com/patrickwillis
