Santos Tour Down Under dates announced for 2015.

The largest cycling event outside of Europe will once again roll through South Australia January 17 through the 25th. And will once again include city circuits and regional rides through vineyards and along the coasts of South Australia.

The 2014 tour attracted crowds of up to 766,000 spectators. Last Years winner Simon Gerrans beat local-favourite Cadel Evans.

South Australian Minister for Tourism Leon Bignell said he was pleased with the success of this year’s Tour Down Under.

“This year we were pleased to welcome a range of international guests to the race including UCI President Brian Cookson and Tour de France Director Christian Prudhomme, who saw tens of thousands of people enjoying the event,”

Mr Bignell said. “Mr Prudhomme described the Santos Tour Down Under as the Tour de France in January, a comment that shows how significant our race is on the international cycling calendar.”
