The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering presented by The Peninsula Signature Events, will play host to an exceptional lineup of vehicle debuts and announcements on Friday, August 14, 2015, at Quail Lodge & Golf Club in Carmel Valley. An exclusive media preview will take place from 8:00 am to 10:00 am before gates open to ticketholders at 10:00 am.

Leading the announcements will be The Peninsula Signature Events, which will detail plans for The Peninsula Classics Best of the Best Award, a new global award honoring the most exceptional classic cars in the world. The Hon. Sir Michael Kadoorie, Chairman of The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited, together with co-founders Christian Philippsen, William E. “Chip” Connor and Bruce Meyer will make the official announcement during an exclusive press briefing held at 8:30 am on Friday, August 14 on the event field of The Quail.
In its 13th year, The Quail has earned acclaim not just as a celebration of the finest classic motorcars and the luxury motoring lifestyle, but also as a stage for major automotive industry debuts. On August 14, The Quail will feature premieres from some of the world’s leading luxury marques:

·Lamborghini will present the world debut of the new Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce Roadster. Production of this 750-horsepower, V-12 powered flagship roadster will be limited to 500 units.

·Making its West Coast debut, the 1/1 Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6 futuristic concept design is a statement of modern British luxury. The high performance two-seater is a potential future model for Bentley, using modern automotive design, highly skilled handcrafting, the finest materials and advanced performance technology.

·David Brown Automotive will debut the Speedback GT in the American market ($753,000) at The Quail, one year after its European unveiling. Designed, engineered and hand-crafted in Britain, the made-to-order Speedback GT heralds a new era for GT models, showcasing a classically styled car with modern mechanicals, reliability and comforts.

·Maserati will show a range of flagship sedans and special editions, including the 100th Anniversary Neiman Marcus Limited-Edition Maserati Ghibli S Q4, with only 100 units made available exclusively at $95,000. The GranTurismo Convertible MC Centennial Edition was created to celebrate Maserati’s Centennial and features three tri-coated colors, special 20 inch wheels and hub colors that incorporate the Centennial medallion logo. Now on sale, the 2015 Quattroporte S Q4 range includes enhancements and added standard equipment for both S Q4 and GTS.

·Infiniti will put guests behind the wheel with an interactive in-field display of the Q60 Convertible Sport concept with the Oculus Rift DK2 simulator. The immersive driving experience will showcase the powerful Infiniti Q60 with Infiniti’s custom-built simulator that recreates G-forces, tilt and the feeling of wind through the open window, providing a fully immersive VR driving experience. Guests will also have the opportunity to interact with the Infiniti Red Bull Racing Show Car, Q50 Sedan and see firsthand how the QX30 concept car is designed through a three-dimensional Virtual Reality simulation.

More than 200 motor vehicles, selected from private collections around the world, will be on display at The Quail 2015’s day-long garden party-style celebration. New this year, The Quail Fairway Lounge will introduce an indulgent venue offering Louis Roederer Champagne, decadent culinary offerings, including caviar and oysters, all in a lavish setting on the expanded field.

The Quail’s Fireside Chat Series celebrates icons in the racing world. This year, German Formula One Champion Jochen Mass will be on stage to regale guests with tales from his career. Mass will be joined by British Sports Car Racing Champion Derek Bell and his son, Justin Bell, British racecar driver and renowned U.S.-based media personality.

The Quail 2015 featured classes will include Coachbuilt Ferraris, Long Tail Cars of Le Mans and Iconic Pre-1965 Porsches. The traditional classes will include: Pre-War Sports and Racing, Post-War Racing, Post-War Sports, Sports and Racing Motorcycles, The Great Ferraris and Supercars.
